SPONTANEOUS MUSCLE RELEASE TECHNIQUE

SMRT is a positional release modality that interrupts pain signals in the body, painlessly resolves trigger points, has an incredibly calming effect on the nervous system, and is highly stimulating to the lymphatic system. By working with all tissues in any given area, SMRT easily and quickly allows the tissues to balance and the joints to realign effortlessly, re-establishing correct posture

DEEP TISSUE:

SMRT is done prior to receiving Deep tissue work. Are you dealing with chronic headaches, stabbing neck pain, deep soreness between the shoulder blades?   Deep tissue massage is designed to reach the deep portions of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers. Stop living with pain and tenderness..let us work it out!

MEDICAL MASSAGE:

Medical massage is performed with the intent of improving conditions or pathologies that have been diagnosed by a physician; a wide variety of modalities or procedures are utilized to focus the treatment based on the diagnosed condition

 REFLEXOLOGY: ENERGETIC THERAPY:

Anything happening within your body, you can detect it from your feet. This is a technique of manipulating the feet (and less frequently, the hands) in order to improve circulation, ease pain, and increase relaxation in the body.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY/NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY:

Trigger point therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. Triggerpoints cannot be detected by an X-ray or MRI. But it is by far the culprit behind so many conditions.  Much pain could be alleviated by simply working the Triggerpoints. This therapy by far, is the most widely used within my practice and I have helped many a client with it!

Trigger points are thought to result from a variety of causes, including birth trauma, hypoglycemia, vitamin B6 deficiency, food allergies, traumatic injuries, poor posture, skeletal asymmetry, overexertion, or such diseases of the digestive tract as ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome or during times of physical or emotional stress.

Trigger point therapy was developed by Dr. Janet Travell in the United States in the 1940s; she is credited with having first used the phrase "trigger point" in print in 1942. Through her work and events in her personal life, Travell advanced the theory that pain experienced in one part of the body is actually caused by an injury or dysfunction in another part of the body. Ultimately, she mapped what she termed the body's trigger points and the manner in which pain radiates to the rest of the body. Travell's work came to national attention when she treated President John F. Kennedy for his back pain.

 GOLFER'S MASSAGE

Golfer's massage provides many benefits such as:  alleviating neck and shoulder pain and tightness, allowing your focus to remain on the ball - from beginning to end. It increases your range of motion in the arms and your torso, allowing for a more efficient backswing. Massage will focus attention on the forearms and hands, improving your grip. Massage will relax the hip and low back muscles, increasing ability for rotation and weight shift throughout the swing. This decreases low back pain associated with repetitive stress from the golfer's swing.

Receiving regular massage will not only improve your game but also help in reducing your chances of injury.
